Airport Motor Inn Marathon

Smooth check in we were on the older side of the motel, she checked that we weren’t allergic to animals as we were on the pet friendly side but not a pet friendly room. She wanted to make sure we wouldn’t be bothered with allergies in the hall. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Muffins were super fresh. Little to no highway noise but our room was facing away from the highway.

We had an unexpected 1 night stay due to a mishap with our travel trailer. I can't speak to the other rooms in the hotel but our room (201) was clean, the bed was really comfortable, fridge worked, and the bathroom (sink and tub) were clean. No issues with the hot water, great shower! The continental breakfast had many choices both hot and cold, it would be difficult not to find something to your liking. Yes the hotel is dated but all in all it was an enjoyable stay (conclusion) to a calamitous day. Small calveat, when checking in you don't received a written quote for your room fee that was verbally agreed upon. I suggest you get something in writing due to change of staff in the morning.

My husband and I had just completed a seven day end to end hike of the Pukaskwa Coastal Hiking Trail, and we were exhausted, sweaty and driving back home. We just wanted a hot shower before getting on the road for the long drive home, but the comfort station at the park was packed. We stopped in Marathon, and the Airport Motor Inn was the first thing we saw. We got gas, bought toiletry supplies, and they rented us a room to just take a shower in for a VERY reasonable price. They were all very lovely people, kind and accommodating. The room was super clean and the water was hot. Really appreciate local inns like this. Highly recommend!!

The beds were amazing, had one of the best sleeps in a hotel ever. Yes it’s an older hotel but the staff were great and the guests were all super friendly. If you’re a hotel snob, don’t stay here but if you’re looking for a place to rest your head, this hotel was worth it. A note about the town, we arrived at 9:30 pm on a Saturday and the whole town was closed for business. The only places open were the Pizza Hut and the Circle K where you could choose from a wide selection of energy drinks and booze and pretty much nothing else. What’s up with that, Marathon?

The staffs were very helpful and accomodating. The bedroom is decent, perfectly clean though not newly renovated. I thought there wasn't any hot water on the shower but I kept the water running for aometine until the hot water get to my bath and had a vsry satisfying hower after a long tiring drive. Generally this hotel is perfectly fine.

Hard working house keepers. Welcoming staff and in a good spot along highway 17 when roads are not promising. I reccomend this place!

My heater in my van stopped working on my way to Thunder Bay. None of the motels were open there. It was -25 C out and most of the motels along the way to Marathon told me I couldn't check in until 3 PM. I had been driving for hours because it was the only way to keep hot air circulating in my van. The staff here were the only ones that would give me a room early. It helped me avoid falling asleep at the wheel and possibly hurting myself or others. Thank You!!
